Adult Class Description
Abs & Box
Abs & Box is a fun class which involves boxing and cardio. You're guaranteed to leave feeling like you have done the ultimate work out. No previous experience needed. Ab classes focus exclusively on the abdominal region of the body and thereby work towards giving you that six pack you've been longing for
Barre fitness classes works the whole body & core by combining Ballet, Pilates, Yoga and functional training. It includes a combination of cardio interval blasts, stretching & sculpting your body from head to toe. In each energising and targeted workout, you'll use the barre and exercise equipment such as mini-balls and small hand weights to sculpt, slim and stretch your entire body. Be ready to get a sweat on.
Pilates mat based exercises can help develop flexibility, strength, endurance and improve posture. Pilates is a fitness method that is suitable for all fitness levels and ages, beginners to advanced helping you to Improve muscle strength & endurance. Pilates will help with posture correction, Improve flexibility relieve stress, Improve coordination and balance developing a stronger core & pelvic floor, favoured by physiotherapists and osteopaths.
Trigger Point Pilates
Trigger Point Pilates uses a combination of Pilates based exercises combined with Self-Myofascia Release using one’s own body weight, movement, breath and equipment to create soft tissue release; realigning the body, restoring correct posture and strengthening core muscles. The training method helps alleviate chronic pain conditions and muscular tightness (particularly back, neck, shoulders and hips), undoing muscular restrictions and enhancing movement. Other benefits include better sleep and improved performance in other activities – it can be a great warm up and cool down for high intensity training. You should leave class feeling light, lengthened and able to move with ease.
Stretch & Tone
Stretch & Tone is a body conditioning class which builds strength and increasing flexibility in a safe and balanced way. It is suitable for beginners who want to stretch out and get in shape, and more advanced clients who want to further their bodies' potential. In this class you'll tone your tum, glutes, legs and arms, whatever your shape or size. Work your muscles to move better, bend more easily and reach higher. Take control, stretch to the next level and relax.
At Balance Fitt we offer a variety of different styled Yoga classes from Hatha, Vinyasa & Yin Yoga which means that there is something for everyone.
Yoga is not just about fitness but also about developing a strong spiritual awareness with yourself and the earth, this is taught throughout our sessions. You do not need to be flexible and you do not need to have exercised prior to attending. Our classes are open to all levels
Aga teaches our Hatha Yoga
Denise teaches our Hatha Flow class which synchronises longer held classic Hatha yoga poses with movement and breath, to create a smooth sequence of poses which flow naturally together. Combining elements from Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin styles of yoga, this is a slower paced class focusing more deeply on alignment, the sensations of the poses and the connection of mind and body through breath and meditation. Open to all levels.
